I was Compelled to Expand on Issues we Found on a Recent Job…
PLEASE DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE WHEN HIRING A CONTRACTOR!
4″ Nails in 2×2 framing caused screws to stick out above frame. New ducts (installed in 2019 w/new A/C) were drug across the nail tips, ripping large sections of ducting.
Hot attic air combined with cold A/C air escaping out of the tears created moisture causing the plaster ceiling to fall onto the ducting. Both the tears and fallen plaster disrupted the air flow.
The moisture caused mold to form. And caused mold in the A/C plenum.
As well as on the A/C closet walls.
All mold has been removed during demo & the rebuild of wall & A/C closet have been completed.
The tile is almost complete….
All’s Well That Ends Well!
BUT WAIT THERE WAS MORE!!!!
There were many other issues encountered along the way…
A junction box had been Cut in Half!
There was also an open electrical box in the attic above the hall light.
An outlet too large for the electrical box.
