RED FLAGS
DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE!
Things to know when searching for a contractor

- Check MyFloridaLicense.com to make sure your contractor is list & current with the state of Florida.
William Sieber CFC1426329 Certified Plumbing Contractor
- You should be familiar with the Florida Building Codes.
- Jobs over $2500 require a NOC (notice of commencement) to be recorded with the county clerk’s office with the owner’s notarized signature. This is the “home owner’s” responsibility! (see below)
- Is your contractor registered to pull permits in your county & city if you are within city limits.

Notice from Brevard County FL Building Department
WARNING: Your failure to record a notice of commencement may result in your paying twice for improvements to your property. A notice of commencement must be recorded and posted on the job site before the first inspection. If your intent to obtain financing, consult with your lender or an attorney before recording your notice of commencement (FS 713.135) ~ BrevardCounty.us/PlanningDev
We at All Florida Remodeling offer filing the Notice of Commencement as a complimentary addition to our permitting process. We will file this for the customer after contract signing and before any work starts. We also have an in-office notary, if it is not convenient for you to have your signature notarized elsewhere.
